My name is Christa. I am an explorer, a scientist, and a dreamer. I have a BS and and an MS in geology, and I am always in pursuit of more knowledge. I am curious about everything, from the existential (the ever classic “Why are we here?”) to the practical (e.g. how to properly season a cast iron skillet). I move at my own pace, and spend a lot of time in deep contemplation about….well, everything! I have a wonderful husband, Adam, and two adorable fur-babies, Brunton and Abby.
My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was a child, but I didn’t really get into it until 4 years ago. I started out making baby blankets and scarves for friends and family. Then a few months ago, a friend gave me a crochet pattern for an amigurumi mandrake (you know, from Harry Potter). Soon after, I created my very first pattern for an ammonoid. My crochet world has forever changed! There are so many possibilities for items to crochet, and I am constantly learning new techniques. I am completely hooked (pun intended) on crochet, and can’t wait to share this fun hobby with you!
